As you already know my name is Valeria.
In this section I’m going to tell you some details about me and about my experience as a Spanish teacher.
I’m from Peru 🇵🇪, I was born in Lima, the capital of the country.
I grew up in Lima but I have also lived in the andes (Cusco) 🏔️ and in the rain forest (Jaen) 🌴.
In my free time, I really enjoy listening to music, dancing, reading and feel very relaxed being among the nature. Actually, one of my favorite activities that I play as much as I can is swimming 🏊 across the sea and snorkeling 🤿. (the summer is my favorite season ☀️), I’m passionate about animals and plants. I enjoy a lot traveling ✈️, and knowing different kind of cultures and gastronomy from new places. It is an experience that makes me feel renewed and get me closer to different points of view. If you’d like to visit Peru, I recommend you spend some days visiting Lima where you’ll find the best variaty of dishes and typical peruvian food. Please don’t miss the opportunity of visiting Machu Picchu. I’ll be very pleased to give you some recommendations to enjoy your full journey! 😉
In addition a labour that makes me feel very satisfied is sharing in voluntary work.
Around 10 years ago, I began to learn sign language so as to help deaf-mute people.
🧏🏻♀️ 🧏🏻♂️, Sharing my time with them is very important for me 🤟🏼.
Actually, taking part in this voluntary work has enabled me to share information in a more dynamic way. For instance: when I need to explain the meaning of a word, and my student is not grasping the idea completely neither Spanish nor English, I use sign language and mime to help them. Later on, they understand the point! 😅
I started to teach Spanish about 5 years ago.
At the beginning, I was teaching particularly, and then I began working in an online platform commited to teach children.
Beside the fact that my native language is Spanish, I got my certificate in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE).
I really love helping my students on the process of learning Spanish and I enjoy of watching their progress.
Honestly, I understand completely what implies learning a new language because I had to learn english and I know how easy is to get frustrated on the process, so this is why I adapt myself to the need of my student.
I bring myself to open an online school because I realized that my students really enjoy learning with my approach. I’m sure that we’ll make a great team!
